It's Friday, which means new movies have hit the multiplexes, but unfortunately there are only two wide releases (worth talking about) today and both fall on the goofy side. But that doesn't they can't be good, right?! RIGHT?!
Director Brett Ratner's latest magnum opus is a broad caper comedy about a group of lowly working class condo employees who take revenge on a swindlin' Madoff-type Wall Street billionaire who lost all of their money. Obviously, the only thing worth seeing in this film is Eddie Murphy returning to glorious form as a fast-talkin' Eddie Murphy-type prison inmate who helps the working stiffs stick it to the man, man. The movie does boast a nice supporting cast (Alan Alda, Matthew Broderick, Michael Pena, Casey Affleck, Precious) but this is Ratner so, as always, thinking is optional (but not recommended).
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas
It's Harold. It's Kumar. It's Christmas. It's in 3D. And above all else, it's NPH. As always, consumption of illegal drugs is optional (and recommended).
